Update for 31st Free Eye Surgical Camp

Amid public outrage against a most infamous case of rape and murder of Damini in the national capital. History of independent India witness that innumerable case of such nature are pending. Entire nation is on feet, Mandi Sabha pays an homage to the brave girl Nirbhay, Damini so on to express its grief to the brave departed soul and anger over the heinous crime against a daughter of the nation and register its strong protest and calling it a shameful day for the country and out system.
All of us with heavy heart organized 31st Free Eye Surgical Camp (dated. 22nd Dec. to 24th Dec. 2012) here for the people of Kumharda PO Pehrd, (sarkaghat) Mandi (HP) and around with the help of Palampur Rotary Eye Foundation, Palampur (Kangra HP). Total turnout suffering from eye’s ailment was around 700 people and 58 elderly people have been found fit to be operated upon for cataract next day on the spot, Operations administered in the mobile Operation Theatre and free medicines given to hundreds and arranged free spectacles to the poor. Sabha is thankful to the locals to give us tremendous support to make the event a grand success.
Appreciating the hospitality extended to the organizers who came all the way from Delhi. Sabha wishes all the very best to locals. Sabha pays special thanks to Sh. Hem Singh and family (especially to Mrs. Hen Singh) for their kind services and bear expenses to conclude the event successfully.
